GPD (Gamepad Digital) - if you didn't know - has been around the portable game console space a while now. Launching devices like the GPD Win even before the Nintendo Switch came about. They've been reiterating since, and in 2025 they launched the new GPD Win Mini with AMD's new AI 9 HX 370 processor - notably the processor is even more powerful than the 7840u (Ryzen Z1 Extreme) of the ROG Ally, and the successor 8840u. Recently, we noticed that local reseller DataBlitz have offered the 32GB RAM / 2TB Variant and we decided we've wanted one. So here we are. Check out our unboxing and first impressions of the possibly smallest (and most powerful?) portable gaming PC embedded above, or read up on more specs below!

If you're curious where we bought ours, its from DataBlitz offline store. Online store link here though, if you want to get them online.
This new GPD Win Mini is not cheap at all, costing enough to buy you an entry level gaming laptop, and twice the price we paid for our imported ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. You can even buy a Steam Deck LCD for about 1/3 of the price. But we guess that's just the extra you have to pay for a lower yield production from GPD, as Asus and Valve has enough resources to get the manufacturing and R&D costs to a minimum vs. a relatively smaller boutique company like GPD.
But we digress. As we've said in the video we wanted the smaller size compared to the Ally, and the built-in keyboard, touchpad, more ports, higher storage, and more powerful processor were appealing to our sensibilities.
Time will tell if we'll regret this purchase or not. But for now, we're settling into the device. We'll update you on our opinions of the device when we've put lots more hours into it.
