We've seen DJI launch drone after drone with increasingly better features these days, and the DJI Flip is actually an interesting middle-ground between their existing devices. Priced at PHP 23k / US$439, the DJI Flip has a new design where the props fold vertically under the main body of the drone while also packing a 3-axis Gimbal and a few collision detection sensors. Compared to the typical DJI Mini design, it has built-in prop guards - making it a bit more durable than ones without. And as far as features go, it sort of bridges the capabilities between a DJI Neo (PHP 11k / US$199) and a DJI Mini 3 (PHP 19k / US$419). It packs the "no-controller hand-launch" AI follow features that the Neo has; as well as having built-in prop guards. But it has the image quality and advanced features that a DJI Mini 3 has. So its sort of like a more professional DJI Neo or a more user friendly DJI Mini 3. Interested? Check out DJI's intro video above or read up on more specs below!

The DJI Flip, as we mentioned before, slots into a very interesting niche where you want the simplicity of the hand-launch capable Neo but with sophisticated image quality like the Mini 3 or higher. It is priced a bit higher than the Neo but it should be noted that the base price of the Neo only comes with the drone, while the Flip comes with a remote for its PHP 23k price tag. The Neo Fly More Combo with 2 extra batteries, a charging hub, and the same remote costs PHP 19k, which makes the price a bit more comparable.
That said, the Flip's FLy More Combo which upgrades the remote to include a built-in screen and 2 extra batteries and a hub brings the price to PHP 41k - a bit harder to swallow for a drone that's supposed to be between a Neo and a Mini.
Still, its got some interesting features and an unusual form factor to check out. Might be the drone you'd like to have. Check it out if you are!
